Deer Lace

Deerskin lace, cut at 3.5mm wide and about 1mm thick, in a length of 90 to 100cm.

Deer stays softer than cowhide. It takes the shape of whatever it carries rather than holding a crease, and it darkens with wear where your hands and collar touch it, which is when it starts to look like yours.

Long enough to wear over the head without a clasp, or to cut down and knot to a length you like. It threads through every piece here and takes an 8mm trade bead without forcing.

Three colours: black, natural and brown. Natural is undyed, so it starts pale and takes colour as you wear it.
